In a dramatic attempt to foster a culture of democracy, 2008 Quad Director Eileen Hipps has called for an open vote in selection of the official 2008 Quadrathlon logo. "I believe it is important to increase the involvement level of both competitors and supporters of the Quad," said Hipps in a recent statement, "and if the popular vote matches the logo I want to use, the selection will absolutely be based on the popular vote."
